We've had massive meets, event domination, world domination, DJ party in a fuso, shenanigans, and God know's what else we've done (and the trouble we've gotten ourselves into and out of, haha). The 3g has been decommissioned for almost 10 years now. During that time, and just as Moe pointed out in the OP, people have come and gone, cars have survived and retired, marriage, family, etc. We have cars, motorcycles, trucks, and all other sorts of two and four wheeled vehicles now.

I see this as a turning point and a positive one at that. Though the club started off as a specific club geared towards a unique platform, it's time we maybe consider changing the focus of the club. Together, we're more than a club; we're family. The core will always consist of those people. From Founding Members to OG's, people are still around. People come and go and you really can't change that. Now is the time, I think, we should consider changing the focus and direction of the club. Now is the time to focus on a more broad range and a fresh start. We need to focus more on the enthusiast market as a whole area instead of a unique platform. Bring enthusiasts to a site where all those interested in aftermarket can come and enjoy themselves. We all share a common goal and interest. It doesn't, nor should it ever really, matter what you drive.

The goal? Become one of the SoCal (maybe another form of world dominaton?) forums/club you'll want to know about. It's not a fast start nor an easy one, but a start nonetheless in the direction we need to go. A direction I think we need to go. That's how I see it. Obviously it's easier said than done but everything has to start somewhere. My .02 cents.
That idea was kicked around way back when, but people cried foul, even though half the club didn't own a 3G or a Mitsubishi. Hell, half of admin didn't even own one.

I think most of us are a little more open to that idea now, though.

I agree. I think there are maybe three or four people that post here regularly that still have 3Gs, everyone else has something else now. I like the idea of expanding to people interested in cars in general. We should definitely archive the 3G info though, too much good information here.

This group has been very respectful and open to the automotive enthusiast lifestyle really. With so many of you changing to different vehicle platforms (you are all traitors! haha!), some of you have still returned to this group to help the other members, share your new projects, or see what others are up to now with theirs.

This place has a lot of good information within the forums that really does need to be saved and organized for future references. We have a lot of stuff somewhat scattered in the forums and we should have somebody go through and reorganize some topics and sticky those that have the most value to the community. I know there are some things here on Socal boards that are not posted elsewhere, or at least not as easily found lol.

I miss my 3g honestly. Too bad the previous owner treated it like crap and I had to get rid of it.

Back to the original topic, I am more than happy to submit a $20 payment.

You see, this was my first forum I have ever joined and it is what got me interested into cars at the age of 22-23. Currently with a different car, I still remember those times in between military deployments to enjoy with the eclipse. There is lots of useful information here and I would love to meet up with the OG once more.
